MediaSurv is a self-hosted media server application. The MediaSurv Roku channel ("Channel") connects to a MediaSurv server instance that you own and operate on your own hardware. This Privacy Policy describes how the Channel handles information.
Server Connection Details: The URL of your self-hosted MediaSurv server and authentication credentials (API token) required to connect the Channel to your server. These are stored locally on your Roku device.
Playback Position: The Channel reports your playback progress to your own MediaSurv server so you can resume watching across devices. This data is sent only to your server and is not transmitted to any third party.
Because MediaSurv is a self-hosted application, the Channel developers do not collect, store, or have access to:
All data exchanged by the Channel flows exclusively between your Roku device and your own self-hosted MediaSurv server. No data is sent to us or any third-party service.
The Channel itself does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Your self-hosted MediaSurv server may separately use third-party APIs (such as TMDB for metadata) as configured by you, the server operator. Those interactions are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies and are outside the scope of this Channel privacy policy.
The Channel does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Channel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
